The South West London Acute Provider Collaborative (SWL APC) aims to enhance collaboration and integration among acute hospital trusts in the sector, with the primary goal to improve the quality, efficiency, and sustainability of healthcare services. Since the inception of the Acute Provider Collaborative (APC), the acute hospital trusts in South West London (SWL) have a track record of joint working to identify challenges and agreed shared approaches to address them.
Together the collaborative aims to:

Ensure they always act in the best interests of the patient by providing care which is high quality, accessible and equitable.

Be transparent, open and honest with each other, learning from their joint experiences to spread and adopt good practice.

Diagnostics programme
The Diagnostics programme was established following the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, with the aim of leading the renewal and recovery of diagnostic services across SWL acute trusts and to ensure the growing demand for diagnostic services could be met. Its objectives were to:
- Provide high quality, accessible and equitable diagnostic services for the SWL population
- Improve performance and productivity
- Reduce health inequalities
- Strengthen partnership working
- Digital enhancement enabling interoperability and digital transformation of diagnostic services
