New health and social care coalition on a mission to guarantee the status of EU staff

NHS Providers has joined forces with 28 national organisations in a new coalition to tackle the potential impacts of Brexit for the health and social care workforce. Bringing together the expertise of organisations representing employers and employees, the Cavendish Coalition has been set up to:


The coalition’s first action has been to set out our collective call for EU nationals employed by the health and social care system should be allowed to remain indefinitely to a new cross-party inquiry examining how government can protect rights of EU citizens living in the UK.

NHS Providers will work with the Cavendish Coalition to represent the interests of foundation trusts and trusts and the EU nationals that play such a vital role in providing care in every community across the country, ensuring that the provider voice is at the heart of the national debate on Brexit and the health and social care workforce.
