This webinar is one of a series of events taking place within our Health inequalities programme.
Content:
This interactive online event will:
- Discuss the impact of low reading levels and understanding of health information on patients' access to healthcare services and on poorer health outcomes.
- Explore the role of 'health literacy' in providing clear and accessible verbal and written communication with patients and communities.
- Share examples from trusts and systems that have committed to becoming 'health literate' organisations and how this meets their goals in reducing health inequalities and improving patient experience.
- Provide an opportunity for delegates to share their own experiences and challenges of implementing 'health literacy. tools within their organisation.
