DNDN is providing this course as part of its work to increase the representation of people with disabilities at every level in the NHS. This course is for those individuals who identify as having a disability who have considered applying for a role as a Chair of an NHS Board. Individuals do not necessarily need to have had previous NHS experience.

 

This one-day, online course will provide those who identify as having a disability with an opportunity to explore the role of the chair in an NHS organisation, and how it aligns with their own career aspirations. Whether you are currently a NED in the NHS, or a chair in a different organisation, the course aims to provide space to explore the NHS chair role and the valuable perspectives those with the lived experience of disabilities can bring to leadership positions.

Course format 

This course is a full day event running in two sections across one day. The course will be delivered on Zoom. Estimated timings are: 

Section one: 9.30am - 12.45pm 

Section two: 1.45pm - 4.00pm

This course is delivered by NHS Providers and commissioned by the Disabled NHS Directors Network (DNDN). The funding for this course has been provided to the DNDN by NHS England, this enables the DNDN to be able to offer this course for free.
