On 31 May 2022, NHS England (NHSE) published a document (or ‘roadmap’) outlining how it envisages commissioning arrangements for specialised services developing over the next few years, following integrated care systems (ICSs) taking statutory form in July. This briefing summarises these proposals, and offers some preliminary analysis.
