Embedding digital into the workforce at Alder Hey Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
This event explored how Alder Hey Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust have created a digital culture, and championed the digital profession across the trust. The panellists shared key insights into how they've encouraged their staff to embrace digital ways of working, maintained momentum and driven change. - Investing in digital leadership: The trust has a designated CCIO and digital lead for each clinical division, as well as an organisational wide CCIO and CNIO.
- Creating a flexible approach to digital transformation: Digital maturity levels are constantly evolving so job plans are kept in constant review and flex as the organisation develops.
- Keeping your service users at the centre: Tapping into patient and parent groups and ensuring that all digital programmes are user led from the outset.
- Building trust within the workforce, by being honest and accountable: Having open communication especially about challenges as well as successes helps build trust within your teams.
