Health Inequalities peer learning event: Delivering the shift to prevention
Date: 25 March 2025
Time: 10:30
Venue: Online
Overview:
This virtual peer learning event will take place on Tuesday 25 March 2025 on Zoom from 10:30am – 12noon.
This event is open to all NHS Providers members, specifically members who are leading work on addressing health inequalities within trusts, foundation trusts and integrated care boards.
Content:
This interactive online event will provide an opportunity to reflect on the extent to which trusts leaders are driving forward the shift to prevention locally. The shift from sickness to prevention is one of the government's three key shifts for reforming the NHS and is guiding the work of the upcoming 10-year health plan.
Yet, we do not have a strong understanding of how well embedded preventative actions are among trusts. This peer learning event will provide an opportunity to hear from members on what is working well, what challenges are preventing action, and how NHS Providers can support members to further embed this work.
Delivered as part of our Health Inequalities programme, the event will explicitly consider the links and dependencies between prevention and reducing health inequalities, giving the opportunity to consider how an equity lens can encourage further action on prevention.
