The UK Covid-19 inquiry held its first preliminary inquiry on 4 October to look at the scope and procedures for the forthcoming public hearing for module 1. Module 1 will investigate government planning and preparedness, including resourcing, risk management, pandemic readiness and lessons learned from previous pandemics, and simulations and modelling.
