Professor Stephen Powis, NHS National Medical Director, has published his interim report setting out proposals to update several of the existing performance standards set out in the NHS constitution handbook. The review was commissioned by the Prime Minister to ensure that NHS performance measures reflect and encourage the latest medical practice and support the delivery of the long term plan.
